Thinking about making individual repos for client projects instead of using a master repo. All for client access and hooking into basecamp. 4 hrs ago
When I first saw this picture I thought, “is this the Sega CD for Nintendo”. But you know what, Nintendo knows exactly what they’re doing here; Innovation. The DS is an example; I always thought the DS was crap, one reason the dual screen/ touch screen. But until recently I never played with it, I always assumed it was a blunder but then I played Kirby at the mall and I really appreciated Nintendo’s brilliance.
Brilliance with sticking to they’re roots. With…
Per the conversation with Jared B. last night, 1and1 dedicated servers are true dedicated servers. Supposedly they do not use a VPS.
[UPDATE]
The Screen Savers crew is back with a weekly podcast at thisWeekinTech.com. I talked about The Screen Savers a lot here, but for some reason I can’t find those posts, anyways Screen Savers got me where I am today: geek wise. As a late geek bloomer I started to learn a lot about tech 5 years ago when I first started watching that the Screen Savers on TechTV. Before I started watching Screen Savers I was solely a video game gadget…
I moved Sara over to the new server as a test Sunday night and I was pleased at how fast the process was. The hardest part was the actual moving of the files, everything else including the new DB setup was simple.
I did find out that plesk does domains sort of weird. I’m used to the hosting packages giving you destinations for each domain. Meaning all your files are in the same httpdocs directory and then you point each domain…
Kat’s blog is now up to date with a new look; hopefully Kat likes it. I needed to update her to 1.5 and I thought she deserved a better look.
Please update your links:
I am getting rid of the bridgeblogs.org domain so anything pointing to it will no longer work. Please update your links. Kat’s site is now and will soon only be kat.bridgeblogs.com.
Another important note is all of my sites will go down, including all email (except the one I always use)…
I finished my theme this morning, surprisingly it didn’t take too long to finish. You can check it out on Tim’s blog here, don’t worry you wont notice it if you go to his site normally.
My theme is a little weird because it is a drop in theme but I included a lot of features.
The tagboard is one; when you drop in the theme the files it should work but a couple files might need to be chmoded. During my tests…
I asked Jared these questions earlier tonight in an email but I thought maybe some other smart web guy can contribute.
Sara and I just got back from the seeing The Incredibles and it was wonderful. It just wants me to work for one of my favorite companies even more;
It just make me wonder what the aura is that they have surrounding them. Is it the clean white look they give? Or is it the perception of good. While Micro$oft has the big giant feeling and with Disney closely following, is the aura just a rooting for the underdog?
I know one reason…
Man a lot has happened in the last three days, I just got back from Bakersfield for a corporate website design course and it went just okay. Everything was so simple it was embarrassing to be there.
Early readers of my blog might remember me posting a lot about work and recently I have shyed way away from it, do to the worries of my boss reading. I intend to go back to my old ways soon, maybe.
The real intention for…
