Thinking about making individual repos for client projects instead of using a master repo. All for client access and hooking into basecamp. 1 hr ago
There has already been a long debate about hosting your own DNS servers and mail servers but I’ve found once again relying on Godaddy total DNS management and using GoDaddy e-mail forwarding has made my three migrations over the last year a breeze. So I suggest to everyone:
Suggestion One:
Don’t mix your host and your registrar. You might not see your domain again.
For anyone looking to create their own site I urge you, never register your domain with your host. There…
With the new $399 price drop of the iPhone I’d have to say it’s better than the iPod touch. Even if: It’s bigger, has less space and requires phone service; it still is an awesome phone and the best DAP out right now. [Link] (0)
We’ve had the Tivo HD for a few weeks now and this post has waited just as long. I initially wanted to post about the unpacking, setup and all it’s features; like a real review. Instead I’m going to make this short since the Tivo HD has been exhaustively reviewed around the web already.
Setup:
In order to get HD you’ll either need an OTA HD tuner or HD cable cards from your cable provider. I called our cable provider shortly after the…
Purchased the ATH-ANC7s a couple weeks back and they’re the first pair of “real” headphones I’ve ever purchased over $40. At first I was looking at the Bose QC headphones but I couldn’t rationalize a $300 purchase. Instead I bought some Sony headphones a year ago and they’ve suited me enough to not really care too much. Now, work has been a little loud and it’s only going to get more chatery around my office so I started looking again…
Well the wait is over for me. I talked myself into buying an iPod last night after toying around with it for just a few minutes and my experience with it for 20 minutes today at the mall solidified my decision.
Yes, the iPhone does do what many other phones do already. That’s clear but it’s the how that counts. The simplicity may be a drawback for some (or at least one I know) but like the BlackBerry OS it’s almost…
Apple usually makes me regret my new purchases after a new rev but this time the $1500 price difference makes my Quad purchase months back easy to handle. Especially since I can go out and upgrade to the 2xQuad core CPUs with my current Mac Pro at a later time when they are less expensive.
I wonder how the 8-core price compares to other workstations, I know the quad was/is very competitively priced for what’s built in.
I’m in need of a laptop for with small form factor, 2 gigs of ram and can run fedora without any hassles. I’ve looked at Lenovo, Sony, R3 and Jared recommends this one but I just can’t find anything better then a black macbook. fedora supports the new intel macs and I’ve yet to find any compatibility issues. The form factor and design is the sealer for me, although I’d prefer the thinkpad design. And with the price being a few hundred less at…
I’m now completely satisfied with the $10.50 ticket price of 300. It wasn’t for the kids but it was a great movie.
I upgraded my server yesterday to the VPS300 plan at Spry. My old server was being hit pretty hard and wasn’t managing to serve the pages at a decent speed, actually if you made a visit in the last few days you would have thought the server was down. I was told with the upgrade my server would be placed on a different nod that has fewer servers so I should see a big performance boost. From what I can…
