Having an IM conversation with someone in Iran, turns out they "hate" Bush...so random. But I had to reply, "that's why I voted for Obama" 8 hrs ago
When asked about the iPhone not being an open platform, Jobs responded,
“You don’t want your phone to be an open platform,†meaning that anyone can write applications for it and potentially gum up the provider’s network, says Jobs. “You need it to work when you need it to work. Cingular doesn’t want to see their West Coast network go down because some application messed up.â€
You can’t possibly drink enough kool aid to believe that. The Blackjack, the Pearl and even cingulars…
I guessed it was the size of the Q. Still too big for a phone for me.
The new iPhone was just announced. Going to be released in June through Cingular it’s a little pricey even for me. This time around the item I’ve been waiting for Apple to release is something I rather not buy. The functionally is phenomenal: touch screen, small, powerful, a bunch of great apps, innovative and also very expensive. We all figured that it would be that much when they started listing all of it’s “technologies” but still, $499 and $599 with a…
Lowes rugs are fairly cheap. Avery loves the new rug we bought her, the first thing she did was lay down and fake sleep.
And to make this post techie this is the first picture I used for a post from my new Pearl phone. Which I need to post about soon.
I guess it’s Karma that my new host is giving me a hassle. Is it me? Do I have high expectations?
I’m not sure but when tech support tells me the box is fine for 9 hours straight while I’m telling him it’s not I find it discouraging that the whole time they were working on another customers box. To make things worse, they tell me it will take 8 hours for the complete reinstall of the OS to finish. After…
Looks like the Pearl is coming to Cingular soon. I can’t wait and I’ve posted about it before but it’s going to solve so many lingering issues with my current blackberry. Number one on the list is a camera, number two media playback. I can’t say the size is a big factor but it is pretty small. It’s also going to work out well since Sara’s phone can be upgraded and eBay love’s my used stuff.
Google really makes some wonderful mobile apps. First with Google maps mobile then GTalk and nowGMail Mobile. I tested it out a little bit, the UI is great and it’s really easy on the eyes. I doubt I’ll use it on my blackberry since I already have my gmail pushed to my phone but it’s nice to have it’s ability to open all my attachments as html including PDFs and Word Docs.
I’m so sold on the Blackberry platform and after demoing the BlackBerry Pearl here at Dreamforce and if you use your phone like I do the Pearl is by far the best phone out right now. Too bad I just bought the 7130c but the leap of differences and size is so drastic I have to get it.
And the best news, Cingular is supposedly releasing it in the “next few weeks” and if not definitely before Thanksgiving.
hmmm…I just played with the Sony - mylo and it’s hmmm…incredible. i wouldn’t buy one but if it were a phone and a lot cheaper or even had a HDD I’d think about replacing my iPod with it. Pretty sweet tech.
The Departed was a wonderful movie. One of the most noticeable; you knew what was happening the entire time, very few movies now-a-days do that, they always have the twist or the great reveal. This movie let you connect with the characters without having to question who they were or analyze their actions. The acting was superb and I’d be surprised if it doesn’t get a ton of nominations for some little golden statues, including two for best movie and best…
