Thinking about making individual repos for client projects instead of using a master repo. All for client access and hooking into basecamp. 4 hrs ago
Purchased the ATH-ANC7s a couple weeks back and they’re the first pair of “real” headphones I’ve ever purchased over $40. At first I was looking at the Bose QC headphones but I couldn’t rationalize a $300 purchase. Instead I bought some Sony headphones a year ago and they’ve suited me enough to not really care too much. Now, work has been a little loud and it’s only going to get more chatery around my office so I started looking again…
I’ve been waiting for Numbers ever since it was rumored to be released in last years iWork (that never shipped). The reason: I’ve been tied to two options, the first is Google Spreadsheets for personal use and occasionally work when we need to collaborate on data and the other is excel. Numbers will never replace Google Spreadsheets for the collaboration side and it’s just too easy to use GS since I’m using Google Apps for my personal use. For work I…
Watching the last innings of the All Star game in my new office setup but dreading the fact I need to pack for a 5-day camping trip. #
switched rooms with Avery and even though my office smaller now I like it. Still a lot more to do but I’ve already been in the attic twice. #
More than meets the eye. It was pure eye candy tonight at the theater; the effects and action were non-stop and was a real exciting movie to watch. The sound effects we’re perfect but the dialog was lacking. If it weren’t for the constant half sentence punch lines that made me laugh in the beginning and later made me annoyed it would have been one of my favorite action movies. Now it’s just a fun popcorn movie just in time for the 4th of…
I find myself watching youtube more and more, especially when they have content like this.
404 - Someone who is clueless. From the Web error message, “404 Not Found,â€? which means the document requested couldn’t be located. “Don’t bother asking John. He’s 404.â€?
Friday night I just hung out with Avery and killed some zombies while Sara was out scrap-booking. Saturday was a big day. In the morning we cleared out the garage and took a bunch of stuff to my parents storage, it’s so great having all that room now. Afternoon we went swimming at my parents and had some Marshall’s BBQ, the best in VTA IMHO. Later we went to celebrate Jared’s B-day and I play a little prank on Nathan. Sunday was a great…
Back from SD (as you can tell by my flickr photos) it was my first day at GL and boy what a day it was. Like all first days of school work it went by fast, like a blur the paperwork-morning went fast, almost as fast as the walk-through tour in the afternoon. I had worried wondered for weeks what system I would be using and it turns out that my hopes came true; I’m using a Macbook Pro. Having a…
For Apple’s Windows Strategy to Work, It Must Replace Microsoft Office and Buy Adobe Systems
PBS | I, Cringely . April 27, 2006 - Killer Apps
The article isn’t just about Adobe, 80% of it is about replacing Office and he makes an interesting point that Apple could be developing something with OpenOffice which they similarly did with Safari and KHTML.
