Thinking about making individual repos for client projects instead of using a master repo. All for client access and hooking into basecamp. 3 hrs ago
I’m just so swamped at work, so much that I can barely keep up with the few personal emails that I have on breaks because the day whizzes by so fast. Then my feeds go untouched and there’s just so much to read. Don’t get me wrong though I’m loving my new job. The days go fast for a reason, ’cause I love the work, it’s like staying up until 3am on a Friday night and not knowing where the…
Sara, Avery and I are going to visit the Hillmans next week in San Diego and I’m so excited. We are leaving Thursday and we really don’t have any plans through Sunday. We might go to the Zoo or Sea World but we’re not sure since Avery is just to young to really enjoy it; might as well go where ever we want while we have the chance. One place we do plan to go, more then once is the…
Backpack Forum / Overview page, relations and moving items
Why not an overview page?It would only help the business model because right now I categorize by list under vague pages whereas an overview would make/help me move to categorizing everything into pages and making me upgrade. And with the Calendar coming out it would only make sense since you’d be including time sensitivity to the system (I hope)
And since you have no relations between items from one page to another I…
I just started using Backpack yesterday and I’m in love. I already have Sara signed up so we can add stuff and/or edit each others pages, it was as easy as sharing the page to her/my email address on our accounts.
The service is pretty awesome and I can’t find any improvement other then a calendar which was announced today that it is coming. A calendar would help so much with how they have reminders now because I want to have…
Jason emailed me this morning about these pictures posted on flickr from a user who had his magsafe power connector burn up. so much the metal melted. I claimed it a fake from the start but it seems some people think that Apple asking the user to take down the pictures is proof that it’s real. I think the opposite. It’s a smart move on Apple’s part to ask him to take them becaue they have no idea if this guy…
In preparation for the release of SoftCE I’ve redone the site and I’m really pleased with what was accomplished with this wonderful script that I talked about earlier.
I’ve also started the payment system through PayPal which was surprisingly easy to setup even though I need to have recurring charges and a 6 week trial period. I just need to make sure it works properly and create a system for me to roll out accounts as fast as possible. I’d love to create…
Jared and I have been emailing each other about Akismet and how he prefers Spam Karma 2 over it and all I have to say is Akismet is better much better.
He says that it doesn’t take long to setup and that’s true for both but if you want the full capability to work for Spam Karma you need to roll up your sleeves, where as Akimet you do not. And I would assume that it processes more spam a minute then…
Thanks to Jason I got an invite to NewsVine, if you want an invite leave a comment with your email filled out (not in the comment itself).
It looks promising and should be a digg.com killer for “more advanced” users/readers once it gets off it’s feet. And I’m really anxious to see what exactly it does for blogging and “good” news articles.
Where in the hell is this thing? Everyone has speculated about it, I’ve heard of plenty podcast “insiders” say it’s coming soon, so why haven’t we seen it? They can’t possibly be releasing something in a final version rather than a beta so where is it? Look at gmail’s beta release, it barely had anything other then a cool interface now it’s the best email service around and possible the best email application, aside from the huge hole left by not…
If you’ve been following the keynote or been to any tech site today you might have noticed Apple has already gone Intel. And I love the catch phrase, “What’s an Intel chip doing in a Mac. A whole lot more than it ever did in a PC.”
Today they released their new iMac and the predecessor to the PowerBooks the MacBook pros. Both machines I planned on upgrading when they went to Intel but never at the same time and I…
