Having an IM conversation with someone in Iran, turns out they "hate" Bush...so random. But I had to reply, "that's why I voted for Obama" 6 hrs ago
What a wonderful idea.
If Google Reader aggregated and displayed how many people Shared each post and then calculated the most popular ones and displayed them in a separate label (like they have for Stared and Shared) they could have a feature that kills Digg!
Only if more people used Google Reader then Digg. The other problem would be that the news would only be dependent on everyone subscribing to the same feed. Now that I think about it, it wouldn’t work…
“Steve Jobs, chief executive of Apple Computer, was handed 7.5m stock options in 2001 without the required authorisation from the company’s board of directors, according to people familiar with the matter. Records that purported to show a full board meeting had taken place to approve Mr Jobs’ remuneration…were later falsified.”
Sounds like Steve didn’t learn from the Enron scandal or maybe he did learn it from Enron. I also love how this isn’t big news on Digg, where everything Apple is…
digg.com just added a Podcasts category. Although it’s more like a directory since it actually plays the casts as well. A very interesting addition to the new digg version released today. I’m not sure about the new design but I like the new homepage.
I told Jared there’s at least one good reason a day to check digg out.
As you might already know I’m in SF for the Dreamforce ‘06 conference. I had petitioned to go to this conference a while back when the task of integrating salesforce with our systems (namely an AS/400) was given to me months back. The sole reason was just to learn how to make my hat as the salesforce administrator easier to wear. After this morning, it’s going to be a lot harder then I had imagined.
Not because the tasks that I…
I’m amazed with some of the great conversations on digg these days. Most are flame wars but some are very good. A recent example, digg - Why Do Atheists Care About Religion?. I really like the comment digg’ng and bury’ng just in case those trolls and incoherent people that you remember in the old days of slashdot threads ever show up.
You can build a feed that contains the exact stories you are interested in from Digg.com. You can filter by: description, category, submitters, number of diggs, and number of comments.
Finally, I can now get a tech feed or any other for that matter that doesn’t have a stupid ass digg story or something with Kevin Rose in it. I could also get a feed of diggs over 300 so I can weed out the real crap or even get a…
I really didn’t want to do this but it needs to be said, digg is self aggrandizing community that needs to get over oneself. Yes, we all make it great but when I see diggs about digg it’s just too much. Leave the digg news to KR or AA. I know this ‘digg’ is hypocritical but I can’t stand it. Digg: at least create a cat. if you’re not filters.
digg 3.0 was released today and I’ve been anticipating seeing the other news outside of tech. So the new version has been released and it’s not as great as I’d thoughtlike it to be. For some reason they’ve missed a few things that I thought were inherent.
digg.com defaults to the tech category. This should be the next thing they “add” because I as a registered user shouldn’t have to click the all button every time.
The new categories are great, they’re really broad…
I’ve been using a lot of Google’s services lately. I’ve always said gMail is the best thing that happened to e-mail but now I find myself using them for almost everything. I had originally wrote a very long post on all of these unsaid services but intead I’m going to make this Google week.
Google ig
The personalized page is pretty cool. I never liked a landing page for my web browsing but I’ve found ig helps center a lot of my…
