Thinking about making individual repos for client projects instead of using a master repo. All for client access and hooking into basecamp. 1 hr ago
Shiira is a web browser based on Web Kit and written in Cocoa. The goal of the Shiira Project is to create a browser that is better and more useful than Safari. All source code used in this software is publicly available.
Back from SD (as you can tell by my flickr photos) it was my first day at GL and boy what a day it was. Like all first days of school work it went by fast, like a blur the paperwork-morning went fast, almost as fast as the walk-through tour in the afternoon. I had worried wondered for weeks what system I would be using and it turns out that my hopes came true; I’m using a Macbook Pro. Having a…

No Ads for Regulars at Binary Bonsai
I think I originally got this code off of Matt, and now here it is for you to use. All this does, is check to see if the current page is a permalinked entry and if the person visiting has a cookie from leaving a comment.If it is a permalink and the user doesn’t have a cookie, they get an ad.
global $cookiehash;
if ((is_single()) and (!isset($_COOKIE['comment_author_'.$cookiehash]))) {
Google Ads can go here…

Thinking about another re-design. Only this time it will be really easy to do since I know exactly how to go about coding it. What I’m going to do is the real problem.
Thoughts on what I want:
Little lighter, with a “light switch”. (theme switcher)
Variable width
Wider single column
For the “sliders”:
?Sidebar slideouts?
?Sidebar hidden elements?
Just within the links in the new header
Header ideas:
Three pieces. Main links, sliders then content. (similar to BB)
Other:
I really like having activity on the post pages like NAS.

As the first major computer company to make Open Source development a key part of its ongoing software strategy, Apple remains committed to the Open Source development model. Major components of Mac OS X, including the UNIX-based core, are made available under Apple’s Open Source license, allowing developers and students to view source code, learn from it and submit suggestions and modifications. In addition, Apple uses software created by the Open Source community, such as the HTML…
I setup a brand new theme. I couldn’t help myself since I can now have rolling archives. it’s just so damn great, thanks Michael and Neo.
A few things you should notice: The rolling archives of course, the activity is larger and more in charge now, the tag and elsewhere dropdown (just click the link above the top post), inline asides, and the best thing ever a “AJAX”/DHTML drag and drop form field for commenting.
The comment form is my favorite part.…
This This could be huge. Even though I forward all my mail to GMail I would love for it to be my mail server instead.
Their next big move will likely be GMail for domains  a powerful way for anybody who owns a domain to utilize GMail as a mail server, not just a client. Yahoo has their own small business mail product which does precisely this, and now evidence suggests Google is planning the same.
It’s been crazy. Work hasn’t let up. So I couldn’t post anything meaningful until now, which I will waste with this one. And I guess the Gadget week will be postponed which I regret because the best is yet to come.
With that said today I submitted an estimate for a website, referenced in this post. I plan to use Wordpress 2 if I can’t find anything better for a CMS. The issues I plan to encounter that I think I can…
The purpose of this site is to help the Church catch up with the rest of the world in adherence to standards given by the World Wide Web Consortium, the governing body of best-practices on the Internet. The majority of Christian web design agencies are using outmoded methods of coding to create websites that the rest of the world would scoff at. Basically, they are stuck in the 1990’s.
Anyone notice you can now download google Video for your PSP or iPod. That is so awesome.
They also give you code to insert the video on your own site. Don’t ask why I chose this video to test it out.
No matter how many people say that Google Video sucks and the UI is crap I still like the interface and the system that they created. It’s easy and most importantly not cluttered.
