Having an IM conversation with someone in Iran, turns out they "hate" Bush...so random. But I had to reply, "that's why I voted for Obama" 8 hrs ago
In case you’re wondering I have taken some measures to make my torrent experience a little safer/anonymous. In the process of trying tor for OS X I ran into some problems, it’s damn easy to setup for firefox but not so easy for Azureus–being the only OS X bittorrent app that allows proxy. Hopefully
XTorrent will add the functionality soon. But with Azureus not working so great, I just really dont like the UI and the plugins aren’t too easy to…
I just can’t figure out what to do. Either return the 360 and get the Wii (if I can) or just keep the 360. I just made a spreadsheet for cost comparison, I guess I need to do a matrix for pros and cons now.
My hope is the Wii will make us want to play games again, I’d think Sara would love it. There’s a web browser so we could watch youtube on TV and it’s a little cheaper then…
I’m amazed with some of the great conversations on digg these days. Most are flame wars but some are very good. A recent example, digg - Why Do Atheists Care About Religion?. I really like the comment digg’ng and bury’ng just in case those trolls and incoherent people that you remember in the old days of slashdot threads ever show up.
To follow up with my previous post, I’m surprised at how close I was.
They announced iTunes 7 with movies
They announced the new Nano’s with new casing and sizes
They announced new iPods with a new size increase
They did release an update to Quicktime but nothing substantial like I mentioned
And what I wanted to see was a Media Extender and they pre-announced it. The thing looks awesome and I would consider it if it did xvid and divx streaming, which I doubt.…
I should have posted earlier on this but here are my predictions:
iTunes 7
10.4.8 with a new H.264 playback performance
Movie Downloads. Disney, Pixar and MGM at first.
Airport Express with video support. It wont be HD but s-video would be nice.
New iPods. I’d love a 16×9 but they could just be size upgrades and new casings. I wouldn’t expect any touchscreen functionality. Either way if the new iPod comes out I’m going to get it with an uncomfortable return to Costco :).
What…
If you’d like to delete something on my blog before I hand it over now is the time, if it ever happens at all. But just in case you’ll notice if you log-in on my sell out blog I gave you all editorial status you may also notice I deleted the comments. The reason being, I think they are yours and not mine and I shouldn’t be able to sell your soul too. ;D

Another copy and past from Jason’s original post on scary stats.
I agree that BOOKS are regarded too high, almost as if they are the great tool of knowledge. In the past, books were the mainstay for increasing knowledge, fair perceptions of life and the world. Now it’s different and with many new media streams people can be very knowledgeable, still increase imagination and find avenues of philosophy without even touching a paper book.
Similar to what Nathan said, smart people have convinced…
I just got my DS lite and it’s pretty awesome. It’s so slick and presentable now before with the old DS it looked and felt so clunky you’d be embarrassed to be seen with it now with the lite it’s as slick as a new iPod. Which makes me wonder how much of an influence the iPod had on the lite, not just because of the color (white) but because of the sleekness and design. Rounded edges, soft buttons and a…
For some reason my blog went down. Most likely do to a server error on Media Temple’s side and not mine, for a change. Looked around the web and it seems it’s a /tmp issue.
After I found out that I was getting the “error 28″ message I tried to repair the tables in phpMyAdmin but that didn’t help. Next I renamed my DB within the web panel from Media Temple to make MySQL reset. Well it didn’t work since from…
Ventura according to my parents had power outages around the town but our place had no power for over 24 hours and it was horrible. It was weird to not have any internet, TV or any lights on Saturday night and we took advantage of it by going to bed early; something we both needed after the rag’r at Roger’s house on Cinco and the full day of Avery’s first B-Day, which was a blast and a huge success.
Sunday morning…
