Having an IM conversation with someone in Iran, turns out they "hate" Bush...so random. But I had to reply, "that's why I voted for Obama" 6 hrs ago
I might as well complete my planned post about Google apps since a conversation is about to start.
I’ve been in the transition of using Google Apps for the last few weeks for a trial review. Next week I’ll need to decide whether to keep my apps account or stick with the free apps that I’m so dependent on. Since the my reasoning for using Google apps is solely based on my use of e-mail and the guaranteed uptime and support I can’t…
Calendar syncing is impossible and Why do calendaring programs allow duplicates in the first place. #
It makes me curious why Google Apps doesn’t allow for current gmail upgrades. Are the two services that different that they just couldn’t migrate my account? After my recent GMail outage I signed up for the free beta lasting until the end of this month and noticed all I could do was create an account with a domain. I used scatteredmedia.com and then added my gmail account so it will import all of the e-mails through POP, it’s still downloading them…
The controversial Google “Tipsâ€, where Google promoted certain of their own products over organic search results, have been quietly pulled down.
Until recently, Google searches for Calendar, Blogging, Photo Sharing and others returned “tips†above normal search results suggesting users try Google Calendar, Blogger and Picasa, respectively. Firefox co-founder Blake Ross criticized the change in a widely read blog post, and the rest of, the world generally piled on. Even Google’s Matt Cutts had said he’d turn them off if he could.

I just commented on how I calendar over at alexking.org: Blog > Calendaring.
So I *think* I have the answer for you. Let me explain what I work with first. I have an iMac at home, a macbook pro for work and travel, and a blackberry.
The only solution I’ve found is Google Calendar, iCal and PocketMac but it might not do what you exactly want to do.
Google Calendar is great because I can share my cals with everyone and edit my wifes…
Too bad the Calendar for Backpack doesn’t integrate with any other part of backpack, otherwise I’d look into another GTD setup.
Right now my setup is so extravagant with Exchange->Entourage< ->iCal for tasks and events. Then I subscribe to all my Google calenders with iCal. I really like iCal especially how it print layouts my dailys but I don’t like the interface it’s too simple while entourage is too cumbersome.
For my personal setup I have no task lists, which I need. I then…
The best productive app I have. I’ve even dropped backpack for it. It just has so much more to offer then backpack, originally I thought they were two different things but when I started looking at how I use backpack I couldn’t figure a reason not to make the switch. With the firefox extension it makes it so much easier to collect notes and links for my current projects something backpack makes a pain out of doing. The one thing…
It’s fantastic. My most anticipated Google service, I talked about this thing for ever and now that it’t been here for awhile it’s proved itself as the best online Calendar out right now and even Backpacks upcoming calendar isn’t that impressive. Only if it wasn’t one way, meaning I’d love to have the ability to edit my calendars in iCal instead of just subscribing to them, something else it doesn’t have is subscribing to protected webcals.
I’ve been using a lot of Google’s services lately. I’ve always said gMail is the best thing that happened to e-mail but now I find myself using them for almost everything. I had originally wrote a very long post on all of these unsaid services but intead I’m going to make this Google week.
Google ig
The personalized page is pretty cool. I never liked a landing page for my web browsing but I’ve found ig helps center a lot of my…
