Well, I wasn’t going to go to see this until tomorrow morning with Taylor A. but since he pussed out, I instead am leaving in 20 minutes to see the 10:30 show at Century; by myself. I don’t really care if it were with friends or with Sara because this way I can sit where I want and play PSP while waiting in line. Another good reason to go now: Sara will probably crash after Avery’s 10pm feeding so I rather spend my time watching the movie then on my new iMac, and another reason I can now spend all day tomorrow with my two girls or three if you count my new mac.
If you want to meet me there good luck.

Dave get your own blog. Or at least use the tagboard.
  • This is not a joke. Last month we were talking about if we could somehow use the PS2 to video conference. There are supposed to be 100 million PS2's out there and if we could somehow tap into video with the PS2 and...
Sony announced at E3 that the PS3 will have videoconferencing capability.
Due to bandwidth constraints it won't be business quality but should be enough to have fun video'ing your friends, not sure if you could while gaming.
Sony at present does not use the newest video conferencing algorithmn H.264 so the picture could have some tiling and be jerky.
  • Gotcha!
Like I know or care. :-)

How would it crash the Mac world?

This is old news. Apple has supposedly talked to Intel numerous times about using their chips instead of IBM PowerPCs. It was really big news before the G5 chip a little more then a year ago.

It wouldn't change anything if they did go to Intel anyways, the operating system will still be closed. So even though you have a PC and a Mac running the same chip you couldn't load OS X on that PC, or even build your own pc to run OS X.

It reminds me of all these dumb asses thinking they are going to be able to run OS X natively on a XBOX 360 because it will be running PowerPC chips.

Another note: Intel's chips are slow compared to what IBM is making right now and IBM will soon be making some extremely fast chips, just check out the XBOX 360 and PS2 specs. Their supercomputers inside.
  • Hot News to crash the Mac world over - this is bigger and sscarry than star wars.
This news borders on the blasphemous.

NEW YORK - In what would be a major shift in the computer world, Apple reportedly is talking with Intel about using its chips in its
    Macintosh line.

The Wall Street Journal reported that the computer maker has been meeting with Intel, the world's largest chipmaker. The newspaper cited two industry executives with knowledge of recent discussions between the companies as saying that Apple will agree to use Intel chips.

I love commenting on my own posts first. It seems so egotistical and naughty. Since the proper way is to update to the post instead.

The movie was kick ass. Now I can go read Jared's blog and not have to worry about any spoilers. Hopefully I will do a review but I highly doubt it since I am not that much of a geek/nerd/obsessed.

The one thing that really disappointed me, that others might have not noticed, Uncle Owen was not the same actor as E1. I could be wrong but it didn't look like him. Jared, or anyone else in your tribe, maybe you can prove me wrong or right on this. The reason I am disappointed is, since he was a meaningless character in this movie, he was the second to last face you saw before the credits rolled. Leaving me to remember that as my last memory of a "kick ass" movie, and not the awesome fight scenes or the...
