Yesterday morning I went to BestBuy at 7:50am, for what? To get my PSP of course. When I first arrived 45 other were already there in line; I wonder when the first guy got there.
I wonder because 3-4 years ago when the PS2 came out I was one of those crazy guys who slept out in front of Target to get my hands on one. I hadn’t told many people about this but it was so stupid. I only had a chair and a sleeping bag and it started to rain at 1 in the morning, 45minutes into finally getting to sleep. I remember it being so dumb but so cool at the same time. It turned out that the guys who came an hour before the store opened received theirs too, that was the dumb part. Anyways it was the coolest thing to have at the time and I remeber theJames and I playing that thing at our chicks house all the time, so much that I had to apligize to Allison, Sorry again Allison, because while Sara was on vacation I was over their playing that damn thing for hours and hours.
Yesterday I played the old cool guy, the guy who gets there early on release dates but not too early, all in my work clothes. Well the story this time is, in the BestBuy ad it said that there was a coupon for $5 off any game within this certain book that they were handing out. And ofcourse it wasn’t and everytime I asked one of those blue shirt dumb asses about it they said it was this other coupon that was for a dumb accessory. I was getting so pissed because I couln’t have been wrong, I clearly remember the sunday ad saying it. So after a half an hour standing there, the line barely moving we get into the store and I asked again, “it’s for the accesory, the copoun is this one”. The coupon was by no means part of the book, ao I asked the manager, nothing the same story. I went on asking everyone and some guy behind me said the same thing, that he read it in the Sunday ad too. I went into pissed mode and I found a sunday ad within the store; 45 minutes still in line, going nowhere; I found the print, walked up to the manager and the blue shirt dude and said what does this mean, “$5 coupon for any PSP game…”. “oh”, they said, “yeah we will honor that just tell the cashier”, so 2 minutes later they pull the coupons out from the back and start giving them to the cashiers. It was so wierd it was like they were purposly hidding them. But why? Because the only reason I gave a stink is because I was in line, doing nothing. I guess if I just walked in and grabbed what I wanted and left I would have let it slide. I wonder if they thought: 300 coupons x $5 is $1500…huuummm.
After all that I played Tigerwoods last night and I watched part of Spiderman 2, which comes with it, and the thing is awesome. Picture quality is amazing. Now I just need a 1gb duo stick to store movies, music and pictures then I am set. Hopefully I can pick up another filming job, and it’s before Avery starts sucking my pockets dry.
