If you’d like to delete something on my blog before I hand it over now is the time, if it ever happens at all. But just in case you’ll notice if you log-in on my sell out blog I gave you all editorial status you may also notice I deleted the comments. The reason being, I think they are yours and not mine and I shouldn’t be able to sell your soul too. ;D

Nathan: I know you don’t care for this and if you don’t want to delete anything that’s fine, just please don’t go and delete anything that doesn’t justify a delete just to make a statement. It would take a while to delete 1300+ posts anyways, :).

Actually I’d prefer if noone would delete anything you aren’t nesecarily involved with, but if you see something I haven’t deleted that’s personal like me picking up Avery from the pool I’d appreciate if you’d go ahead and delete it.

Either way, this is a lot of work on your side and I don’t mind if you rather not delete anything. I just thought you should have an editorial decision too. I could also edit all your names to dork and dorkette I could write a query to do that or if you want to help me with a query that will delete any post with your urls or your names please send it my way and I’ll run it.

    I'll just use a search and replace.

    UPDATE dan_posts SET post_content = REPLACE (
    post_content,
    'http://dancameron.org',
    'http://idancameron.com');

    Could someone help with the first comment though?
  • That was funny. I don't think I want to go in and delete anything, though.

    whoa whoa whoa...you like macs?!

    Jason: I'm sure you didn't actually read those links you gave because the second has nothing to do with selling a domain other then people trying to scam an appraisal service. Remember I'm not paying anyone anything. Unless there is a link somewhere in that forum that I missed I think that's off track. As for the first link he could have gone through the same thing as me but it doesn't look like it was sold to anyone, other then advertisers. It's actually a good idea but it's funny how I never heard of it and I don't think he got a lot of money for it since I didn't see a follow up.

    Selling my blog is something I'm not doing though, I'm not giving editorial review to someone else. I'll have another blog somewhere else, I'm just selling a duplicate copy of my content to someone else, something Jared and I have already said they could do for free.

    I do agree that them adding posts to my blog after the fact is "creepy" but that's why I want to get rid of everything that makes it "my" blog and not some other guy who likes macs and tech.

    i'll have to think about this. i do appreciate you giving me/us this chance.

    about deleting everything/lots of things (just in case you really think i'd be capable of doing that): i would never piss on someone's parade just because i don't agree with what they're doing. people learn from pain, not from being forced to do what's right. :-)
