One of my “want to dos” is to create an iPhone theme for wordpress and todays discussions about creating one on the wp-hackers mailing list “forced” me to dive in for a few hours today. iPhone Wordpress Theme uses iUI which is great unless you want to do something dynamic. Right now it only works from an iPhone interface since included in the theme is a plugin to do a little browser detection.
There are a lot of bugs and if it looks like I just hacked it together without much time, it’s because I did. I’m going to continue to go in this direction for the UI but I’ve hit a deadend after trying so hard to get that library to work. So now I’m forced to rework the entire thing with or without iUI.
For the iPhone users wanting to test it out, here’s your turn. For the rest of you, you’ll need to sppof your browser or settle for the image.
