Disappointed Revolution2 went the traditional route of selling "premium" themes-shame. I thought their model of selling support was awesome. 6 hrs ago
Back from SD (as you can tell by my flickr photos) it was my first day at GL and boy what a day it was. Like all first days of school work it went by fast, like a blur the paperwork-morning went fast, almost as fast as the walk-through tour in the afternoon. I had worried wondered for weeks what system I would be using and it turns out that my hopes came true; I’m using a Macbook Pro. Having a Macbook makes me contemplate the option of just selling my powerbook since I’m able to use the Macbook but the cons of not owning the laptop might outweigh the benefits, something I plan to really think about during the next few weeks.
I still need to setup a few things in my office/cubicle but it feels great already. After one day I have to say I love the new desk and setup, I think I’ll take some pictures because the description I’m going to give isn’t going to be ideal. Even the office at my old job doesn’t have the workspace that the cubicle has. The desk is one of those 180* jobs where I finally can spread out my work or at least have the option when I start getting more work.
Today my first project was handed over, setup and configure rdiff; I’m going to love this job, all these geeky things that I would normally do on my own time but now I can do them at work. I’m almost worried that I’ll be filled up with so much work during the day that I’ll not be able to catch up on my feeds and blogging :D.
Overall everything looks like it’s going to be great, the new Macbook, the dress code, field of work and the coolness of the crew.
