DAve Z

Dave Z has closed his blog. Why?
Tell him what you think.
Personally I like to read his blog, it’s fun. But he might feel hesitant about it because noone comments. I just don’t like to comment on blogger blogs because of the comment system; that goes for every blogger blogger out there. Just because I don’t comment doesn’t mean I don’t read it regularly; I just download your RSS feed and keep it at that. Where did Hoby go too?

About the Author, Dan Cameron:

I'm the owner and solution engineer at Sprout Venture, a web solutions company that specializes in web development including WordPress.

I started my first blog in 2003 and transitioned to WordPress in 2004. Since moving to WordPress I've written a few plugins and themes for public consumption. Lately I'm busy engineering/building/coding and have only been able to share a few code snippets.

If you're in need of some web development, web design or custom WordPress plugins and/or themes contact me, I'll be happy to discuss it with you.

  • Many people did comment on my blog. Thank you, I hope it was fun.
  • That smiley face appeared in my post. I used the colon and parathensis.

It must part of the socialist plot to use this web site to draw out the freethinkers. So "they" can tax us on our "out of step" thoughts. So when Hillary is ordained and crowned Czar of the New World Order by the High Priests of Media and Leftism - Dan RAther ( I'd rather not) and Ted, Java the hut, Kennedy- she will have the names all registered to be sent to the LSD Camps like in that movie of the 60s.

I am against Nuke power plants - but:
    US Nukes killed =0
    Ted Kennedy's car=1
  • stay out of the 'bu, mossolini!
  • JB, this is the place and at your blog where I do the political. My blog was for entertainment. Don't be easier - I thought you were already :)

Facism = Conservatism, so Mossolini was a conservative - Oh no, I am getting started/ got to stop. Hitler was a republican, but then Lenin was a democrat and could have hung with clinton, Hillary probably wishes that she could pull a Stalin on Bush. Now I can't stop thinking about how the liberal democratic party is close to the russe commies.
    Anyway-

    Re: my blog-
It is the guilt of it, not writing to it, then it seems lame, since the energy of the " discussions" we have here and at JB isn't on my blog due to the topics.
I could have put some political topics on it and maybe spiked up the comment count. You know I have to put my energy in keeping my count up here and moving up on the list at JB.org
I will still will be weird as ever.
I am busy and it takes time to make the blog interesting. My hobbies last about 6-8 weeks then fade. Like I said in an email to Dan - I thought my best post was the " Top Ten Christmas gifts in Bosie".
Since Johnny Carson retired and now died I thought it would be a good time to retire and kill off my blog and spend more time in blog malibu.
  • I also check everyone's blogs, usually more than once a day. I will have to go with Dan on the comment thing though, the default blogger comments are a pain to deal with. Blogger does have a "hack" at http://tinyurl.com/4nwph that gives you a comment form right on the page (like Wordpress) and people can submit comments more easily, but it does require Javascript. I think this is what Jared W uses.

But Dave, if you read this, don't let us scare you away; I promise to stop shaking the foundations of conservatism/facism if it's too unsettling. (OK, I don't promise to stop, but I'll take it a little easier).
  • yeah, i visit every blog on my blogs list (and a few contenders that haven't made the list yet due to infrequent posting...tim) at least once a day.
  • I do like Nathan's comment system, it is very easy. I do read Dave Hoby's blog.
  • but my blog uses _your_ comment system!
