activeCollab

activeCollab is an “open source project management and collaboration tool” and also-known-as the “basecamp clone”. Well I installed it on my other server since my current (mt) setup doesn’t have PHP5 and it’s awesome. I’ve used basecamp before and they are very similar; the look and feel is the same and the features are pretty much the same. I can’t wait for the next releases because I could see some real progression of the system since it came out of the gate so well.

Check it out and if you want to use my test account just e-mail me.

Yeah, I was checking this out earlier (I think I saw the link in your feed). Do you have it up and running somewhere?

    Sent you an email.

    Thanks. Looks pretty cool.

Not quite as polished as Basecamp (which I love), but that’s understandable, and like you said, it will probably get better. Or, since you run it on your own server, you can make your own modifications to spice it up.

I am so addicted to BaseCamp that I was thinking of moving up to one of the paid accounts, but the benefits of this being unlimited and free, as well as the additional control of having it on your own server may have convinced me to wait and move to this instead.

This definitely looks pretty cool. Do you think I could take a look at the demo as well?
