Wikipedia

I’m starting to really dislike Wikipedia. I just spent an hour or so trying to get the formatting right on a full article on iPod Video Restrictions and Comparisons (without a link to my article) and they “speedy deleted” it. What a bunch of BS. Without any actual review process some ‘know-it-all’ can mark your article with “This article provides no meaningful content “.

I'm the owner and solution engineer at Sprout Venture, a web solutions company that specializes in web development including WordPress.

I started my first blog in 2003 and transitioned to WordPress in 2004. Since moving to WordPress I've written a few plugins and themes for public consumption. Lately I'm busy engineering/building/coding and have only been able to share a few code snippets.

If you're in need of some web development, web design or custom WordPress plugins and/or themes contact me, I'll be happy to discuss it with you.

pretty much anything outside of wikipedia makes a source. i do think you're right, whoever completely deleted you was way out of line. unless there is already an article out there on the subject. i'm not entirely sure what the article was supposed to be about. maybe they decided you were writing an opinion piece? whatever the objection, there are plenty of flags out there to put on articles you think don't fit.

What makes a source. I could have sourced Apple's webpage but they deleted it before I even finished. It sucks that a non-existant page gets deleted before it even gets completed because someone doesn't care about the subject.

or maybe you don't understand what an encyclopedia is.

    That's stupid.

did you source your information? remember they don't allow original research.
