Hi,
I just wanted to let you know that the business blogging story is scheduled
to run tomorrow (Thursday) in the business section.
You can find it online at the Star’s Web site:
http://www.VenturaCountyStar.com
Scroll down to the “Business” subhead.
It should be posted by tomorrow morning.

Thanks again for your help with this story.

Can’t wait to read it. I wonder what, if anything, would happen to my sites or services as a result.

You are elevating to local celebrity status!
  • Looks like it's up now.

It will be interesting to see how many new visitors you get from the link.
  • nstryker
cool, but wait: "blogging is probably the best tool you can use to find clients" probably?! watch those qualifiers!
  • nstryker
"more traffic means more advertisement for my business," he continued, "more advertisement means more clients, more clients means more money, and more money means more gadgets." just then a well dressed representative from cingular upgraded mr. cameran's phone. "and more gadgets means more ways to blog out!"
  • Dan
Yeah, I wrote her back pretty fast and didn't think that my reply would be the only interview. I thought I would at least have a chance to give some better, concise, refined and/or more relevant information to help the article.

But if I get a grammatical error of a quote in the newspaper then they won't be surprised when they get here. :p

Second comment: Exactly although, I haven't posted this yet but people are giving me stuff for free to blog about. Like that video software and Sprint gave me a phone for 6months for free, with free unlimited service and data. "Blog Out".

Crazysox: Very cool Dan. i think you answered the questions quite well. NAS doesn't use any capitals so- BLOG OUT!

Nor do the Star Free Press readers care or know about "qualifiers".
  • Bill
Very interesting. Now we have a celeb in the family! Good luck with this stuff, which I don't understand completely. GO! Any ideas on an electronic address book for us. The old Wizard is really getting dicey. Kiss and a hug for Sara and Avery. Bill

    capitals are for the Lord.
  • They can be for normal people also...
  • Nate
    Lord or LORD?
  • nstryker
i used to (ages 12-20) put words for God in all caps, but it started feeling like i was yelling His name. obviously in business writings and english papers, i use "normal" capitalization. everywhere else (read: in art and life), i do all lowercase and capitalize the first letter of words for God.

it's how i show honor, respect, and praise to my King and was initially inspired by the poetry of larry norman.
  • That's an interesting backstory. Maybe you should try a variation of it where you take Nate's suggestions (all caps) for God-type words, and use regular capitalization for everything else.
  • nstryker
like i told sara on my blog, switching a typing habit you've been doing for 15 years is pretty difficult. the humbling of everything not God, especially the word "i," is part of the point.
  • Maybe everyone already knows this, but that's the way it's done in some English translations of the Bibles except it's not just for god type words but when it's God's proper name or when referring to his name.
