Bought my first iTunes movie. The Dark Knight. I hope the HD version on the ATV looks great. Pretty cool I get versions for my iPhone too. 9 hrs ago

Home / asides / Mac bashers

I’m listening to the Geek night’s podcast Jared talks about so much. Just to prove that his assessment’s from others might not be the best practice to determine your own mac opinion unless your purpose is not like them in the first place, which I’m afraid Jared wants.

  1. I’ve never seen or had a problem with a mouse on a mac. 3rd party or not. All he had to do was set the tracking preference in the system preferences.
  2. I think they are looking for the faults even though they say they aren’t.
  3. I’ve never seen an ad that specifically sells macs for podcasters.
  4. You do not have to pay for QT pro to convert AAC to MP3.
  5. He makes the process of converting through iTunes hard but it goes directly to the file, you don’t have to find it.
  6. iTunes “lame thing” what is that?
  7. You can pick whatever MP3 you want. You are wrong about importing vs. export. And you could use QT in order to get more options.
  8. They then complain about very technical audio stuff that doesn’t effect the “average” podcaster, like if I wanted to do a podcast. And they even say that Apple made it that way to make it easy.
  9. Editing and deleting portions is not that hard.
  10. Audition isn’t that much more then what they already paid for another app for advanced editing.
  11. I can’t listen to this anymore. I’ll have to listen to another cast of theirs but this one sucked even when they didn’t talk about apple and macs.

They might be right with the other things but I’m not going to disprove them since the others are more preference then technical or I don’t really know what they’re talking about.
