    You can't image it because you haven't read the reports of the shortage. Like I said Bestbuy a MAJOR retailer will only get 86. Gamestop has over 80 preorders alone and they will only get about 30-40. So the demand is there. And the PS2 was the same way, you couldn't get one until way later.

    I would post some links but I don't think you care too much and if you did you know where to find them.

    The link wasn't messed, you just posted on it a couple times and that was easiest way to show those posts. So you are saying that if Randy didn't stay in the morning you wouldn't have gotten there earlier? I thought you said you camped a long time for the earlier SW movies.

    Anyways, I'm not camping, just going to get there early 6-630 most likley for an 8am opening.
  • I think your link is messed up, but I'm assuming you're referring to me seeing the midnight showing of Star Wars. This is completely different, since I only waited in line for a couple hours, saw the movie and went home to go to sleep at a decent hour. That doesn't qualify as "staying overnight", sorry.

    As for the Xboxes, while I could imagine them selling out on the first day, I highly doubt that anyone that doesn't get one that day will have to wait till February.

    You still can't think of anything, huh? It only took my 2 seconds to think of this.

    Now that is something I don't get; at least I get to take something home. You get to say I was at the premiere, I get to say I was at the premiere and that is why I have this machine now and you have to wait till February.

    BestBuy is getting 86 consoles and I think about 50 are of the bundle pack.
  • Good luck! I'm trying to think if there is anything I would go stay overnight outside a store to buy just so that I could have it on the first day it came out; haven't thought of anything yet.

    Like I said before the last major console release was huge. The PS2 sold out way before the doors opened because of pre-buys and people waiting outside like me.

    Remember the story of sleeping outside of Target in the rain for my PS2?

    The PSP was the only other release which was big but the hype and the rumors of limited supply didn't reach the masses like I assume it has done for the 360. Pre buys for the 360 have reached almost a hundred at every gamestop and ebgames in town and they will only get 20-30 a store,meaning the others will be waiting. Waiting next to me or Jason.:D

    I've worked out a deal for Jason M to save me a spot, he might as well do something with his broken arm.
  • When was the last time that all the stores in town sold out of a new system on the first day? I have a feeling you could save a lot of time and just walk in anytime after the store opens the next day and pick one up.
