Microsoft: is this a joke? I honestly think you don't care anymore about UI on the mac.
  4. Words with Friends

    Words with Friends

Words with Friends. Sara has been addicted to this game for weeks, now I am. I’m not a big scrabble fan but I’m a big fan WwF because I’m able to play at my own pace. The good and bad,  is how you’re able to make up words ( that you don’t know ) and test to see if they’re accepted, in scrabble you’re not allowed to do that at all.

If you have an iPhone, download it now. My username is dancameron. … Read More »

  7. Uncharted 2 – Playstation 3

    Among Thieves

There are are plenty of review out there, most of which aren’t out of date and have more detail … most of you should have played this game already, if not you’re missing out.

When I played Uncharted 2 when it first came out I was amazed, here’s my tweet from that time “So I think Uncharted 2 is the best game ever made. Sorry, but yeah it definitely is. #uncharted #ps3″

Since it’s almost April I should proclaim now that Uncharted 2 was my #1 game of 2009, if it matters anymore. … Read More »

Some really good songs but some really bad ones thrown in there to even things out. Regardless, I’ve listened to it a lot over the last few weeks.

  10. Ogg Theora vs. H.264

I really don’t care who “wins” the “standard” for html5 video, they both have their upsides.

Ogg has the clear advantage of being an open format. Even if Gruber has a valid point comparing it to GIF.

H.264 has the overwhelming advantage of market penetration. I don’t know one video recored that uses Ogg as a format but I know a ton that use H.264.

But, it’s not only about production of the video, you can alway convert it…right? Not exactly.

    After trying very hard to get firefox to work with a video I converted this weekend, I must say ff is broken and it’s all because of undetermined spec that limits it’s own ability to play video that Chrome will play perfectly fine;

even worse the same video file would play within FF if dragged straight into the window.

So, while I can export my video to H.264 from a handful of easy to use applications on any OS I have to use the command line to convert an Ogg file. After that, I find the bigest supporter for Ogg can’t play the video that Chrome ( which supports both formats )

    does

    .

Basically, if FF is going to support OGG and not support H.264 they better get their shit together. Because, it’s not possible for Mozilla to make a better case against H.264 without Ogg being simple to use — that includes fixing their browser.
