It just make me wonder what the aura is that they have surrounding them. Is it the clean white look they give? Or is it the perception of good. While Micro$oft has the big giant feeling and with Disney closely following, is the aura just a rooting for the underdog?
I know one reason why Apple and Pixar are at the top of their respective game is Steve Jobs. Someone that I don’t know to much about gets my respect only from the few things I do know. One of the founders of Apple came back to reserect the company in the 90’s, he brought the imac, OS X, the ipod and helped merge the big five for the iTunes music store, the first one to do it. He brought the style back into computing; here come the comments but think about it before the orange all-in-one iMac we all had beige boxes, now look. Did you know that Steve Jobs doesn’t get paid from apple for being their CEO?

A couple other tidbits that I remember, hopefully they are correct:
Well if I remember correctly, A long time ago before Pixar made films they worked on artificial intelligence and the lamp was their first case (you know the lamp within there logo). The lamp was supposed to teach itself to hop or walk. I remember reading and seeing this somewhere but I can’t find anything on it, and I specifically remember seeing video of that lamp over and over again get up and fall down getting trapped within its own limits over and over, until finally got it right.
I wanted to write about how early in graphic effects fire was the hardest thing to duplicate digitally and after seeing The Incredibles it shows the advancement through digital film, because within a cave scene of the movie they had some fire that just looked flawless. Next up skin; if you saw the movie you could notice why a couple years back Pixar’s team was complaining how they just could not get human skin to render correctly to not look like plastic. They will get it someday and it will most likely be around the same time we take our kids to PixarLand instead of DisneyLand
