I am currently at a Microsoft meeting in which I am learning a lot but I am mainly here to get out of the office.
I have finally found myself not liking the office. After 3 days of doing my job and also my bosses I left her. Not really I scheduled this a long time ago when I found out that if you go and sit for a few hours you can get some Microsoft software.
Honestly I don’t like Microsoft but they do make great products, oh wait they don’t make them they buy out great products and distribute it. sort of like Disney. You know Disney got rich from stories that were free domain, Cinderella, Snow White, etc. and know they actually copyrighted it and own it? oh well.
Well I thought it would be a great idea to blog right now because I am a geek and this is what geeks do. The special part of this is that I am blogging from my mac laptop and a bluetooth phone. I can surf and check email and do everything I want with my laptop, of course and my phone. I just am so excited because I finally figured out the configuration.
I played golf for the first time in a long time Saturday, and I am very surprised that I didn’t play as expected. I expected to go out and top every ball and shoot in the high 80’s like I should since I hadn’t played in 6-months since I started my new job.
I can’t blame it all on my new job. Most of it is because I used to caddy and I played at least twice a week and I was getting really good but I just wasn’t having fun since I expected a lot more from myself so I though I would quite and the timing was great.
Well Saturday I think the trick was not expecting anything. I played with a guy that I casually met a couple times at some betting games and we definitely are competition to each other every time we play. The times we played before where in some skins games on fridays ( there is a big skins game at the Ventura courses where I play). I remember one time at olivas in a skins game I birdied 8 and 9 at Olivas, those holes are usually guaranteed to win $300-$400, although that day he was in a group ahead of me and to my avail he did the same exact thing birding both.
Well Saturday we played a little game and it was very intense. I felt bad because I hadn’t played in so long and he still plays a lot. It went back and forth, he was up two in the beginning then I went up 2 after then tied on the back that back and forth again and again. I ended up with 3 birdies and what amounted to 6-months of bogeys (10). Anyways, it was so great we tied. I missed a birdie by 1 inch on 18 to win. I was almost glad I missed because I did make some friends and I think I am going to play every week now.
Is it the end for continuous computer work? I do have to get rid of something to play golf.
So for all of you reading this…
I will not fix your computer
for free.
It has been a while.
This is something I love to hate.
I want to post more because my life isn’t boring by no means, well you may beg to differ, but I am either lazy or annoyed. I have no idea. When I say annoyed I mean annoyed with my life to the extent I don’t want to relive it by writing it.
I named this Enemy in my Sites because as most of you know that have been reading I started a new job last September, pretty recent. I took over a job that was previously occupied by a guy named Jim. I have talked previously how I differed from my boss and everything is going good now but every once in a while she calls me Jim out of the blue, it is definitely a mistake and she recognizes it but it totally makes me feel uncomfortable. So she not only mistakes and calls me Jim but I am constantly compared to him, “yeah Jim did this” or “Jim already did that”.
Well there is the base of what is going down right now.
Well recently Jim quite his job that he went to after leaving this job, and he is back. He is going around the hospital and talking to all the doctors, and my bosses. He is being hired by corporate to do a little job for them but what happens in 2 weeks when that is done? Is he trying to get his job back or work here? I don’t know, and I surely hope not. I donÃt really know what to do. I pray continuously thanking God for my job that he blessed me with and I really couldnÃt imagine loosing it or even sharing it.
I just donÃt know.
Since the last time I wrote last Friday I have been telling myself that I need to post something but I haven’t gotten around to it and honestly nothing has really gone on.
Well…
I have been to BestBuy since the debacle that happened last Thursday and I cant complain, because i really didn’t talk to anyone. I think that is the secret to Best Buy. Just to let you know I had to buy a new Tivo because ours broke last week (see my tech section on how i fixed it) and my wife and I were going berserk. Honestly its like crack cocaine, We cannot stand TV without it.

oh and I cant forget I won something, FYI I never win anything and if I do I cant keep it for long, and really after saying that this is no exception. I put my card in the fish bowl at the best main stream burrito place I have ever had, Chipotle Grill. I went in Sunday to get dinner for my Sara and I and I saw my card displayed,
“Thats me, I am your weekly winner” I was surprised because I never heard anything and my card was posted right there for everyone to see.
The guy got a manager and it turns out that I didn’t just get a burrito, but 20 burrito’s its for everyone that I work for. Amazing. So instead of feeding my boss, a couple volunteers, and me I decided to feed myself. Just kidding, I am going to take it to a Bridge(www.thebridgecommunities.org) Kiosk meeting.
So I won something and of course I am not going to have it for very long if you know what I mean, well I can quite my diet. No forget that.
A good friend and I were at my favorite place to shop yesterday and it is best buy. I personally have had continuous bad experiences with management and employees since i started shopping there but i never let it bother me.
i find a lot of humor when i go into the computer department and here the employees talk to the customers, because i don’t know who is worse. the very ignorant computer user or the employee full of s**T.
one thing that is very obvious to me is that they are all salesman even though they say continuously that they are not commissioned they are led to sell you there service plan with everything they sell, they ask 2-3 times no matter what.
well yesterday my friend and I went to go buy a cheap celeron computer, yes it was a celeron but it was less then $400 with a printer and monitor and it is just for internet and word processing. anyways i described it yesterday by saying, “it didn’t take this long to buy my car”. we waited an over an hour to get 3 boxes, and it wasn’t busy at all and they had 4 employees in that dept..
so after they brought the boxes down another young lady rung us up and there was a usb cable on the bill,
“we didn’t want that cable”
“oh, okay but you know that printer wont work without it?”(chick)
“yeah, but I have a box of them at home.” my friend said lightly and he was serious about the box.
“that is shady how that got there though”
Really shady because it came straight from the guy who got the package for us and we intended not to buy anything else.
then the stare, this star…she had no eyelids, her face pailed white then she stumbled,
“i don’t appreciate how you assume i put that in your cart intentionally” she said so coldly that i froze
and to ease the tension my friend said “don’t worry about it it wasn’t directed at you”
it might seem like a strange conversation but it really cant be described in words like it should be.
then she tells us that his credit card is not valid because he never signed the back of it. i don’t understand the tension that they have to be able to get that upset.
